In Episode 6, Ling talks with Jane Halton, Chair of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, about her work to ensure people globally get access to vaccines. Seema Kumar, Vice President, Innovation, Global Health and Science Policy Communication, discusses the challenges of fighting the pandemic. Plus, Janssen supply chain expert Remo Colarusso explains what it takes to get vaccines from the lab and into health workers’ hands, and Laura Lane, President of Global Public Affairs at UPS, talks about the logistics of shipping during a pandemic. We also hear from youth advocate Adefare Tomisin Elizabeth on how she’s educating people about the virus in remote areas of Nigeria.

Colarusso is Vice President of the Janssen Supply Chain at Johnson & Johnson. In this role, Remo leads the global manufacturing and supply management of all Johnson & Johnson pharmaceutical brands.
Jane Halton
Halton is Chair of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) and is a member of the Australian COVID-19 Coordination Commission. She’s on the board of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute and the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation. Halton has also served as Secretary of the Australian Department of Health, Chair of the World Health Organization (WHO) board and President of the World Health Assembly.
Seema Kumar
Kumar is Vice President, Innovation, Global Health and Science Policy Communication at Johnson & Johnson and a world renowned champion of the value of science and science journalism. Kumar drives public engagement and trust in science through development of storytelling initiatives and programs that create positive societal impact.
Laura Lane
