The INMED Healthy Children, Healthy Future program in Brazil promotes healthy growth and development through an integrated program of treatment, education and action. The program is supported by Johnson & Johnson, which donates VERMOX™ (mebendazole) for all of INMED’s de-worming programs in Brazil.
Healthy Children, Healthy Future’s efforts include treating children for intestinal parasitic infection and nutritional deficiencies; teaching them good nutrition, preventive health habits, and hygiene and sanitation measures that help prevent disease; and empowering them through interactive activities to put the lessons they’ve learned into action to improve the health and quality of life of their families and communities.
Johnson & Johnson has been providing support to INMED in the advancement of the health of children for nearly 25 years. The program has reached over 2.25 million children, trained more than 30,000 teachers, cafeteria workers and community health workers, and led a process of positive change that has engaged more than 6 million family and community members across Brazil.
