A commitment to tackling the world’s toughest health challenges has fueled Johnson & Johnson since its founding in 1886.
And today the company is being recognized for this work, landing a spot on Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies list for the 22nd year in a row. The company ranks #2 on the Pharmaceutical Industry list and #27 on the overall Top 50 All-Stars list.
Johnson & Johnson’s mission statement, Our Credo, continues to be the backbone of the company as it delivers on its commitment to tackling the world’s toughest health challenges.
To create this list, Fortune—with the help of consulting firm Korn Ferry (which has conducted the research for the World’s Most Admired Companies list since 1997)—asked executives, directors and analysts to rate enterprises in their respective industries based on nine criteria. These include investment value, quality of management, social responsibility and the ability to attract and retain talented people.
What it takes to be a Most Admired Company
On the above criteria, Johnson & Johnson more than delivers—an exciting accomplishment after a monumental year for the company.
In 2023, Johnson & Johnson embarked on a new era as a healthcare company, uniting its Innovative Medicine and MedTech businesses under the Johnson & Johnson name and revamping its iconic logo. But while the company continues to evolve, its core values remain steadfast: Johnson & Johnson’s mission statement, Our Credo, continues to be the backbone of the company as it delivers on its commitment to tackling the world’s toughest health challenges, advancing health equity and improving patient care.
Just a few examples of this work: innovating treatments and minimally invasive procedures for diseases like cancer, teaching your body to fight disease, using technology to advance healthcare and providing access to quality care around the world.
Johnson & Johnson is honored to once again be among Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies.
