A commitment to caring

Supporting the communities where we work and live is called out as a key priority in Our Credo and part of Johnson & Johnson’s DNA. For us, this is a calling and not just a business. A calling that we put our pioneering science, human ingenuity and whole hearts into—and have done for over 135 years.

Our UK ambition

Through our local community impact strategy and efforts, we aim to create sustainable and lasting impact by addressing specific healthcare and societal challenges in the UK. We do this by investing in strategic partnerships and programmes and by empowering our employees to apply their talent for good to support NGOs and organisations with their time, skills and expertise. We want to create lasting impact in the local communities in which we live and work; supporting those at the front line of health care and reducing health inequity.

On the front line of health care

Our priority is to support and champion the people on the front lines who are at the heart of delivering care. Together with our partners, we focus on building and strengthening a robust primary care health workforce – made up of capable, confident and resilient nurses, midwives and community health workers—so that they can provide quality care to the communities they serve, both in the UK and across the globe.

Supplier diversity

The Johnson & Johnson Supplier Diversity & Inclusion Programme has a track record of advancing supplier diversity around the world. We believe our suppliers should be representative of the consumers and patients we serve. We know that spend with diverse suppliers can have a significant economic impact in the communities in which we live and work by stimulating the economy. In the UK, we are taking a lead role in partnering with social enterprises to bring value. We are one of seven founding partners of the Buy Social Corporate Challenge in the UK, an initiative to promote the use of Social Enterprises in corporate supply chains. In addition, we support minority-owned and women owned businesses as part of our UK programme.
