Nicky is responsible for leading the Government Affairs & Policy function, across the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Enterprise, for the UK. Her role is to develop and execute the J&J Government Affairs & Policy strategy, whilst ensuring effective interaction among government institutions, J&J commercial and functional leaders, the J&J EMEA Innovation Centre and other J&J facilities throughout these two countries.
Prior to joining J&J, Nicky held the position of Global Director of Public Policy at AstraZeneca -- leading policy and government affairs teams on pricing, Health Technology Assessments, biosimilars, adaptive licensing and antimicrobial resistance. Nicky served as the industry liaison in support of the Accelerated Access Review (AAR) team within the Department of Health of the UK Government. Prior to AstraZeneca, Nicky was Director of Regulatory Affairs at the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) and started her career in the R&D labs at SmithKline Beecham (now part of GSK).
Nicky has an impressive breadth of experience gained from working as liaison within the UK government, the ABPI and in a global corporate function. She is a strong advocate for better outcomes for patients.
Nicky holds a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Kent. She lives in Hertfordshire with her husband and 2 daughters.
