Who we are

Eleanor Freeman’s career journey

When El joined J&J as an engineer, her knowledge of sales roles was limited and she didn’t think it’d be a career she’d flourish in. After she was encouraged by her colleagues who spotted her sales potential, she’s since progressed in the Orthopaedics Sales organisation through various leadership roles and has now moved into a new role in MedTech UKI as Strategic Projects PMO, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Elyce Marshfield’s career journey

From her first job selling single use equipment into Hospitals, to her latest role as Knee Marketing Manager for the DePuy Synthes UKI business, the Orthopaedics Company of Johnson & Johnson MedTech, Elyce has held a successful 10-year career in the orthopaedics industry and her passion for diversity, equity and inclusion has enabled her to spearhead the Women of Orthopaedics campaign within the UK.

Alex Moore’s career journey

A chemist by training, Alex took a leap of faith moving into sales. The risk has ultimately led to reward, and through great mentorship, she has progressed to now sit on the DePuy Synthes UK leadership team as Business Lead for TECA (Trauma, Extremities, CMF & Animal Health).

Bala Balaguru’s career journey

From management in the NHS to consulting for two of the Big Four, Bala has described his résumé as a ‘patchwork quilt’. His heart, however, has always remained in the world of healthcare and MedTech, and his experience working in different sectors has contributed to the incredible impact he’s made at J&J since he helped found and went on to lead the business’s Strategic Capabilities team. He now heads up all External Affairs responsibilities for MedTech UK & Ireland.

Eni Gesinde’s career journey

From sportsman to salesman, Eni has continued his winning streak from the rugby pitch to the operating theatre. He’s now preparing himself for leadership positions at J&J, with a mission and passion for paving the way for others in his community.

Gavin Meadows’s career journey

Over the last sixteen years, Gavin has travelled across the Middle East & Europe progressing through his journey to leadership at Johnson & Johnson. He returned to the UK and now leads one of the fastest-growing businesses for MedTech in the region as General Manager, DePuy Synthes UK.

Victoria Turnbull’s career journey

In the course of eight years, Victoria has transformed what began as a student placement role into a successful career with Ethicon. Today, she proudly works as an NPI specialist, incorporating the latest innovations to assist patients in the UK and help shape the future of surgery
