Description
Laboratory technicians work in research, development, production, control or diagnostics. They plan and conduct experiments, monitor their progress and prepare evaluations. With a specialization in biology, you examine organisms, their structure and development, and their interaction with active substances. You work with microorganisms, cells, plants and animals. You help to investigate the nature and functioning of living systems at various levels: as whole organisms, in cell cultures, on isolated organs or using isolated cell components and biomolecules.
You work with measuring instruments and various apparatus and perform various calculations. Accurate, systematic and hygienic work is essential to obtain meaningful results. You evaluate the experimental procedure and comply with the regulations on occupational safety, environmental protection and quality assurance. All laboratory experiments are correctly recorded according to GMP specifications.
