Laboratory Technician EFZ with a specialization in chemistry
Our apprentices report on their apprenticeship...
“My area of responsibility is very diverse and varied. I get to support my colleagues in preparing samples, carrying out analyses and monitoring experiments, among other things. Most of the regulations in my job are written in English, so I use my English skills on a daily basis. One of the things I learned during my training is to always be patient and keep a cool head if something doesn’t go according to plan. I have a very friendly, collegial and professional relationship with my colleagues. I feel very comfortable at Johnsson & Johnsson because you are always supported from every side.”

Description
As a laboratory technician specializing in chemistry, your work is mainly synthetic and/or analytical. You carry out simple syntheses independently. Using suitable methods such as thin-layer chromatography and melting point, you evaluate the purity of the products. In addition, you learn analytical methods such as titration and spectroscopy, etc. and apply them practically. In this way, chemical substances for new drugs are created.
